Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The quote form asks only for your gender, birth date, general health, tobacco use, coverage amount and desired term. Those six answers produce carrier quotes. Your name and contact information are only needed if you decide to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

They are the rates each carrier quotes for the health profile you selected. The carrier's underwriting team may confirm, upgrade or adjust the rating after reviewing your application and health history. All quotes on this site carry the disclaimer that they are estimates for comparison only, not a guarantee of price or coverage.

What happens when I click Apply?

You select a quote and provide your name to move forward. The application pre-fills with your answers and continues on the carrier's secure platform. You can pause and resume at any time, and you sign electronically using your computer or phone. Susman Insurance Agency, licensed in California, handles the application process.

Will I need a medical exam?

It varies by carrier and the amount you're applying for. Some carriers offer accelerated underwriting for younger applicants in good health, meaning no medical exam is needed. Each quote on this site indicates whether an exam is typically required, sometimes required, or not required for that specific product.

Is a longer term better?

Choose the length that covers the years when someone depends on your income. A mortgage usually takes 15 to 30 years to pay off; young children need support for roughly 18 years. A 20- or 30-year term is common. The quote tool lets you compare costs across 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30-year options from the same carriers.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool collects no name, phone or email address to produce quotes. We don't sell visitor data, use advertising networks, or allow third-party tracking on this site. Our measurement is cookieless and respects Do Not Track signals. See the privacy page for details on what is and isn't collected.
